There are several Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools that can save you time with special education due process paperwork. Some that I have reviewed and are safe to use include Magic School AI, Brisk, Playground IEP, and Lessi.ai.
Playground IEP has an array of amazing tools to help with due process paperwork, including a great way to track data and run progress reports, create goals, PLAAFPS, evaluations, and much more. Plus you can create custom instructional materials specific to students on your caseload whose information is uploaded into Playground IEP.
The Chrome extension Brisk is not only great for creating materials for classroom lessons, it will also create goals and objectives with ideas for measuring those goals and objectives. From the Brisk menu, you choose Create and then choose IEP Goal Plan.
MagicSchool AI helps with several due process tasks including an IEP Generator, Accommodation Suggestions, Support Goal Creator, Behavior Intervention Suggestions, and BIP Generator. MagicSchool has a new customize tool feature, that gets you closer to getting results that meet your district’s specific requirements for writing IEPs and other paperwork.
Lessi.ai is AI and software combined to answer the toughest due process questions, based on your own school district’s guidelines. You can use Lessi to create custom instructional materials for your specific students, based on their IEP goals, accommodations, and learning needs. Student facing materials are all closed captioned and available as ePub and braille files.
These tools all have free versions that you can log into right away. Some have free trials that expire, but others you can use a subset of tools free forever.
As with any AI tools, but especially for these, your results from the tools should be considered a draft and need to be revised.
