There are several Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools that can save you time with special education due process paperwork. Some that I have reviewed and are safe to use include Magic School AI, Brisk, IEP CoPilot, and Ablespace.

IEP CoPilot has an IEP Goal Writer, including one that is specific to standards for several states. It produces a nice annual goal with several benchmarks(objectives) for each goal. It even gives you activities you can do to help students reach the objectives. Besides generating goals and objectives, it will also craft a disability impact statement for you and coach you through creating a PLAAFP that is parent friendly.

The Chrome extension Brisk is not only great for creating materials for classroom lessons, it will also create goals and objectives with ideas for measuring those goals and objectives. From the Brisk menu, you choose Create and then choose IEP Goal Plan.

MagicSchool AI  helps with several due process tasks including an IEP Generator, Accommodation Suggestions, Support Goal Creator, Behavior Intervention Suggestions, and BIP Generator. MagicSchool has a new customize tool feature, that gets you closer to getting results that meet your district’s specific requirements for writing IEPs and other paperwork.

Ablespace is an AI tool that assists in tracking IEP goal data and writing progress reports. It creates nice charts and graphs of student progress and you have the option to print paper data sheets for others. It comes with a mobile app as well to easily collect data on the go.

These tools all have free versions that you can log into right away. In many cases the free versions will do all that you need them to, in other cases, like if you want help with third party billing from Ablespace, you may want to consider upgrading.

As with any AI tools, but especially for these, your results from the tools should be considered a draft and need to be revised.

Feel free to stash away the one pager linked below on AI tools for due process for future reference.
