And really cool tools make the impossible possible, helping students overcome barriers to learning and living to their full potential. This blog covers instructional technology, assistive technology, and artificial intelligence for teaching, learning, and living.

About Me

I have worked in the field of education for over 25 years as a special education teacher, an EdTech professional development provider, Assistive Technology Coordinator, a Lead Teacher, and currently an Instructional Technology Coach. I am a Google Certified Educator (Level 1 and 2) as well as a Google Certified Trainer and Coach. Part of my job as Instructional Technology Coach is to lead our Assistive Technology Team and our Artificial Intelligence Innovators Group. I had the daunting task of leading our district into adopting Artificial Intelligence guidelines. I strongly believe that as educators we can’t ignore the power of artificial intelligence for students who struggle with tasks inside and outside the classroom. That being said, sometimes a low tech gadget is all that’s needed to overcome a barrier. This blog is all about tools that help students and teachers overcome barriers. As teachers, often our biggest barrier is having the time we need to get “everything else” done so we can focus on our students.
